What is a gumshield?
A gumshield is a mouth guard that you can wear during sports. It's a protective device that you wear over your teeth during physical activity to cushion your teeth and jaw against impact. This reduces the risk that you’ll chip or break a tooth, cut the inside of your mouth, or fracture your jaw.
Custom sports guards offer significantly better protection than boil-and-bite alternatives. This is because a loose-fitting guard can move around during activity, giving you far less protection when you need it most.

Do I need a custom sports gumshield?
If you play any contact or collision sport, a gum shield is worth having. Rugby, boxing, hockey, basketball, martial arts, and cricket all carry a risk of impact to the face, and a single blow can crack, chip, or knock out a tooth entirely.
